50th Annual Duxbury Winter Show is Open

The Juried Winter Show is on view now through at the newly renovated Art Complex Museum in Duxbury. The show runs through March 18, 2023 and can be seen Wed-Sun 1-4pm. My piece in the show, called The Paramount, Boston is a multi-media mosaic of the famed Boston theater.

The Mosesian Center for the Arts in Watertown, MA is hosting its We the People exhibit from Nov 14 – Jan 31, 2020. The exhibit aims to find unity in the commonalities between people and establish a narrative around what it means to be an artist in America today. It features art in all mediums addressing concepts of personal and national identity, migration, heritage, and race. My flag mosaic was juried into the show.

The Old and New of Boston’s North End

I recently finished this mixed media mosaic of Boston’s North End. Those who know me know that Boston is a major theme in my artwork. I love the architecture of the “old” Boston and some of the”new” Boston. I saw this sunset from a parking garage high above the North End one early summer evening and was determined to capture it in a mosaic. I attended the opening for the 2018 Member Show last night. It was well attended. The band and refreshments were great and the art impressive and varied including white line woodcuts, paintings, sculpture, and collage media. I was also very impressed by the center itself, which offers a full range of art programming in theatre, music, and the visual arts. My work included 3 mosaic cityscapes. I was happy to see them grouped together.

I am encouraged and glad to receive the Second Place award for my mosaic of the Cinque Terre coastal town Monterosso al Mare. This piece is one of three accepted into this juried show at the Artists Corner & Gallery in West Acton, MA. The show includes a wide range of media focused on the theme of summer, well worth the trip to this very comfortable gallery. The show runs through August 19, 2018.

I am grateful to be able to continue to create art and glad to have received the People’s Choice Award for my Boston Harbor mosaic at the New England Mosaic Society’s Second Annual Juried exhibit.
