The Old and New of Boston’s North End

Posted by:

I love the architecture of the “old” Boston and some of the”new” Boston. I saw this sunset from a parking garage high above the North End one early summer evening and was determined to capture it in a mosaic. I used smalti, Venetian tile, millefiore, beads, and mirror for the architecture. ...

I attended the opening for the 2018 Member Show last night.  It was well attended.  The band and refreshments were great and the art impressive and varied including white line woodcuts, paintings, sculpture, and collage media.  I was also very impressed by the center itself, which offers a full range of art programming in  theatre, music, and the visual arts.  My work included 3 mosaic cityscapes.  I was happy to see them grouped together.
