Once again, the Hopkinton Center for the Arts hosts The “Big Tent” Members Show from Dec 12- Jan 9, 2020. This year’s show features the work of 30 member artists displaying a wide range of media.

Featuring the work of ArtsWorcester members, this show is sure to inspire members and non-members alike. The show kicks off with a reception Dec. 6, 7-9pm and runs through Jan 11, 2020 at 44 Portland Street, Worcester, MA. My piece MAGA Tsunami juxtaposes participants at a Make America Great rally with asylum seekers at the US southern border, who are symbolically overcome by the MAGA wave.
The Hopkinton (MA) Center for the Arts is running their annual fundraising Festival of Wreaths from Nov 27 – Dec 8, 2019 in the Lotvin Family Gallery. Visitors to the center may submit bids in this silent auction to purchase the wreaths. The wreaths are made by local artists and craftspeople. Silent auction winners may pick up their wreaths Dec. 9.

The Mosesian Center for the Arts in Watertown, MA is hosting its We the People exhibit from Nov 14 – Jan 31, 2020. The exhibit aims to find unity in the commonalities between people and establish a narrative around what it means to be an artist in America today. It features art in all mediums addressing concepts of personal and national identity, migration, heritage, and race. My flag mosaic was juried into the show.
The New England Mosaic Society (NEMS) has chosen two of my mosaics, Monterosso al Mare and Divided States of Insanity to include in the Society’s mosaic art juried exhibition at the Wedeman Gallery at LaSell University, located at 47 Myrtle Avenue, Newton, MA. The mosaics are part of an exhibition of more than 60 works by 46 artists from across New England, representing a wide range of contemporary mosaic styles and techniques. Continue Reading →I have seen most of the work accepted to this juried exhibition and it is spectacular. I look forward to seeing it hung. A range of styles, materials, and subjects provide lots of eye candy for art lovers and makers. The Juried Exhibition 2019 runs June 1 – June 27, 2019 with a reception June 8, 3:00-5:30 pm. My North End Boston cityscape was accepted to the show along with several salon pieces.

Della Monica, selected 52 artworks from over 362 to be included in the Cape Cod Museum of Art‘s annual invitational exhibition titled: “We The People,” …the first three words in the Preamble of the US Constitution. I recently finished this mixed media mosaic of Boston’s North End. Those who know me know that Boston is a major theme in my artwork. I love the architecture of the “old” Boston and some of the”new” Boston.
