New Cityscape of Venice

I just framed the latest mosaic in my Italy series in a lovely Italian molding.  Called Venezia, I used smalti and vitreous glass for the buildings, along with stained glass for the canal.  Beads provide some of the detail.  The piece measures 12.5 x12.5″ including the frame.

Boston Harbor Back by Popular Demand

Visitors to the site have expressed interest in my Boston Harbor mosaic, shown on the opening page of this website. #2 in Italy Series

Just finished the second cityscape in my Italy Series.  This one features the Cinque Terre town of Riomaggiore (one of 5 quaint villages, hence the name Cinque), along the Mediterranean coast that are more easily accessed by boat, train, and on foot, than by car.  I got there by boat.

Danforth Art Museum accepts mosaic cityscape for Annual Juried Exhibit

Excited to be accepted to the annual juried Off the Wall exhibit.  The exhibit runs concurrently with the Community of Artists exhibit June 7- August 2, 2015.  An opening reception will take place Saturday, June 6 from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m.

Juried by Judith French, former director of the museum, the exhibit typically draws critics, gallery owners, and collectors to view New England artists’ work in all media.
