Happy to say that another of my mosaic cityscapes will be included in the second Mosaics at the Mill show. Curated by Mosaic Oasis Studio and Supply of Arlington, the show exclusively features the work of many of the best mosaicists in the region in the working and historic Old Schwamb Mill in Arlington, MA. The show runs from March 28 – June 6, 2015 with an opening reception Saturday, March 28th, 3-5pm (more details to come).
Empire State Sky 12″ x 24″
My particular piece, “Empire State Sky,” is a mixed media mosaic featuring New York City’s Empire State Building and surrounding area from the top of Rockefeller Center. I used stained glass, millefiore, smalti, vitreous tile, and beads to build the piece.
